This CHIC legacy brief documents the initiative’s impact across five regional symposia held since 2022 in sub-Saharan Africa, Francophone Africa, South Asia, and Southeast Asia/Western Pacific, engaging over 600 stakeholders from 46 countries. By prioritizing country-led presentations and cross-country peer learning over expert lectures, CHIC has created sustained platforms for EPI managers, researchers, and policymakers to share implementation innovations, address persistent delivery challenges, and develop concrete action plans — with WHO West AFRO now using symposium recordings as training materials across Africa. The brief highlights CHIC’s role in amplifying implementation research from Gavi-eligible countries through a Vaccine journal supplement, over 100 hours of publicly available symposium content, and a growing presence at the International Papillomavirus Society conferences. It frames the initiative’s legacy as a self-sustaining community of practice that ensures the countries most affected by cervical cancer lead the global conversation on how to address it.
