The CHIC 2022 Symposium opened in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, with a warm welcome from the Honorable State Minister of Health, H.E. Dr. Dereje Duguma.
Opening remarks were delivered by the CHIC Symposium Planning Committee Secretariat, represented by Dr. Alex Vorsters, Dr. Nelly Mugo, and Dr. Margaret Stanley (online).
The event was co-hosted by the Federal Ministry of Health of Ethiopia, with contributions from Dr. Meseret Zelalem, Mr. Yohannes Lakew, and Mr. Mengistu Bogale, and by the Ethiopian Society of Gynaecology and Obstetrics (ESOG), represented by its President, Dr. Abdulfetah Abdulkadir.
The session concluded with an introduction of participants from across the region.
