In Nigeria, sustaining HPV vaccination and transitioning to routine delivery following the 2023 multi-age cohort campaign remain significant challenges. As part of the SHARP multi-country study, human-centered design (HCD) workshops in Agege LGA (Lagos) and Gwandu LGA (Kebbi) engaged 55 stakeholders across community, facility, LGA, state, and national levels to co-design locally tailored integrated service packages combining HPV vaccination with menstrual hygiene, life planning, and adolescent health services — with context-specific adaptations reflecting the north-south divide in infrastructure and social determinants. Following implementation in June 2025, DHIS2 data show vaccinations among 9-year-old girls rising from 187 to 1,557 in Gwandu and from 90 to 2,142 in Agege between January and July 2025. The findings demonstrate that community-embedded, locally differentiated HCD approaches can meaningfully accelerate HPV vaccine uptake and strengthen programme equity and sustainability.
