This report summarizes the fourth CHIC symposium, held in Manila, Philippines (October 2–4, 2024), bringing together 95 participants from 17 countries across the Asia and Western Pacific regions. Participants included civil society organizations, Ministries of Health and Education, NGOs, NITAG members, EPI managers, and key global partners including WHO, UNICEF, Gavi, JSI, and PATH. The symposium was co-organized by CHIC and the Philippine Ministry of Health. Discussions focused on HPV vaccine coverage, program sustainability, and overcoming barriers to vaccination, with particular attention to reaching out-of-school populations. Each country prepared a snapshot of their HPV vaccination programme. Common strategies identified included multisectoral outreach, strengthened monitoring and evaluation, integration into routine services, and innovative approaches such as vaccine self-administration. The report notes that the Western Pacific region bears 30% of the global cervical cancer burden, and while 80% of countries have introduced HPV vaccination, reaching the 90% coverage target remains a significant challenge.
