Mali: HPV vaccine introduced on 1 November 2024, currently targeting 10-year-old girls only using the quadrivalent Gardasil vaccine in a single-dose schedule (281,840 doses), with potential expansion to the 9–14 age group. Service delivery combines health center, school-based, and mixed approaches, with broad multisectoral involvement including the Ministries of Health, Education, and Women’s Promotion, alongside traditional leaders and communicators. Coverage is monitored through DHIS2. The single-dose transition followed a formal NITAG recommendation approved by the Minister. Coverage targets progress from 80% in 2025 to 90% in 2029, with a multi-age cohort campaign (9–14 years) planned for 2027 in collaboration with Gavi and PATH. Innovative funding mechanisms — including mobile operators, mining companies, and telethons — are being explored to ensure long-term sustainability post-Gavi.
