Côte d’Ivoire’s HPV immunization landscape has evolved significantly since its national introduction in 2019, integrating vaccination into routine adolescent health packages and school medical check-ups. Following WHO recommendations, the program transitioned to a single-dose schedule in August 2023 for its primary target of 9-year-old girls, utilizing a quadrivalent vaccine delivered through fixed, mobile, and outreach strategies. While cumulative national coverage reached 39.5% by mid-2025, specialized campaigns like the one conducted in April 2025 have shown high impact, achieving a 93.1% coverage rate among the 9–18 age group. Looking ahead, the government is prioritizing the 2025–2030 National Cervical Cancer Elimination Plan, focusing on long-term financial sustainability through private sector involvement and insurance funds to maintain momentum beyond Gavi support.
