The Ministry of Health of Burkina Faso presented its national HPV vaccination strategy at the CHIC 2025 Symposium, targeting girls aged 9 to 14 through a multi-age cohort (MAC) approach. Following the 2022 introduction, the country is transitioning to a single-dose schedule to optimize resources and improve coverage, which currently faces challenges in high-security challenge zones. Key implementation strategies prioritize school-based vaccination, community mobilization, and decentralized cold chain strengthening. Future actions focus on integrating HPV screening for women and leveraging Gavi 6.0 support to ensure long-term program sustainability.
