HPV vaccination was introduced in Cameroon in 2020 with a two-dose schedule for girls aged nine. In 2023, the program transitioned to a single-dose, gender-neutral approach, expanding to boys and integrating routine and intensified campaigns. Coverage improved to 66% for girls and 34% for boys, supported by cross-sector collaboration. Ongoing plans aim to reach all adolescents, including those out of school and living with HIV, through nationwide phased campaigns.
