Breakout Groups Plenary feedback – Group 5

Group 5 identified challenges to HPV vaccine introduction, including community acceptance (questions on gender targeting), COVID-19-related misinformation, financing gaps (especially for non-GAVI countries), stakeholder engagement difficulties, and targeting issues (e.g., out-of-school girls, nomadic populations). Country-specific concerns include fragile health systems (e.g., Guinea) and hard-to-reach populations (e.g., Djibouti). Opportunities include political commitment, existing cancer and school health programs, single-dose schedules reducing costs and dropouts, civil society mobilization, and leveraging communication materials and religious leaders for advocacy.Group 5 identified challenges to HPV vaccine introduction, including community acceptance (questions on gender targeting), COVID-19-related misinformation, financing gaps (especially for non-GAVI countries), stakeholder engagement difficulties, and targeting issues (e.g., out-of-school girls, nomadic populations).
