Country Snapshots – Malaysia

Malaysia introduced its national HPV immunization program in 2010, targeting 13-year-old girls through school-based delivery. Coverage was consistently above 95% until disruptions during the COVID-19 pandemic led to significant declines, with recovery efforts ongoing. A single-dose schedule was adopted in 2023, and a large-scale catch-up campaign launched in 2024 aims to vaccinate over 700,000 girls by March 2025. Digital platforms like MyVAS now support improved data management and outreach.
